Hello everyone!

My name is Joe and I’ve been a photographer, a videographer, a video editor, and a graphic designer. Sure, I went to college for it, but most of the skills I learned were from either experimenting, trial and error, or Googling. As a kid, I always loved making home movies in my backyard with my friends and a Sony Hi8 camera.

Now I’m doing the same with my kids and an iPad and I want to share all the things I’ve learned (and the mistakes along the way) for making videos.

Will this teach you how to make millions being Youtube- or TikTok- famous? No.

Will this teach you how to direct a big-budget blockbuster? Also, no.

So what exactly is the point here?

That is a great question. You can learn the basics of shooting and editing short videos on your phone and computer and get good enough to use as a hobby to amuse yourself and friends and family or some light video editing for your work or business social media.
