I’m not sure if an algorithm is pumping similar items towards me, or it’s just frequency illusion, or just identical thoughts from other creators here on Substack, but I’ve read a lot of uplifting posts about creating something despite nagging perfectionism.
Recently, I posted in Mika’s April advice thread, and one of the replies was good advice from Barbs Honeycutt:

So I’m taking all that advice and started making stuff. Some of which can now be found on Notes:
Just start making stuff! Start anywhere! Do it stupid!

When people ask about how I got into photography, I say something similar: I walked around my neighbourhood and took a lot of crappy photos.
